treatment is applied only after we suffer...not before that...so, don't look for counseling or therapy in anticipation of a life event...

hai all...few months back one person came to me...the person said

'Sir, I have got a problem. I have my room and I sleep there. I can't allow anyone to sleep in my room. I will not get sleep if any one is there in my room. I am worried, because after marriage how will I sleep alone?...if I don't sleep then I will not be able to work in the office properly. This will affect my relationship with my spouse, my health, my profession and my life. Please help me sir.'

I just asked the person 'Does it affect now?'...the person said 'No!'...then I told the person 'Just forget it. Don't have anxiety. Feel normal and live your life happily. You don't have any problem. It is only anxiety and fear that is making you to feel all this. Our body and mind have got the natural tendency to adapt and accept and modify behaviours based on SITUATIONS AND NEEDS of the body and mind. So, all will be normal and fine. Just live your life peacefully!'.

Yesterday that person searched me and came running with all happiness and surprise!...the person said 'Sir, you are perfectly right!!!...I am married now and I am very happy. I don't have any problem now sleeping with my spouse in my room. I am extremely thankful to you sir. It was a timely help you rendered to me and I am indebted to you!'...I asked, how it happened?...the person said 'I don't know sir. I just forgot about that issue after you told me. And now after the marriage I find I am cool, no issues, no worries, no anxiety etc. I don't know what happened!'

Many of us are like this...

1. We process everything that is there in front of us, that comes to our mind...which is wrong.

2. We are experts in perceiving negatives, and specially with ourselves too.

3. We are experts in being anxiety struck and remaining in constant fear of something or the other always.

4. We don't have to fear and go to counsellors for things which we feel will happen in future. If we don't have any problem now then we don't have to think about future and go for counselling. Let the situation arise and if problem persists, our body and mind are not able to adapt, then only we need counselling / treatment.

5. Our body and mind have the elasticity to adjust and adapt to others and environment based on OUR NEEDS at that particular point of time!...our needs will dictate our mind and body.

So, let us free our minds and live happily and peacefully.
