Dear all...THIS IS FOR ALL STUDENTS AND PARENTS...
Students are of several kinds with respect to their personality traits, skills, intelligence, interests, creativity etc.
Some are with low intelligence. Some average. Some high intelligence. Some are Einstein levels.
We have all these kinds of students existing in our families...communities...and country.
Our country has several Einsteins and Edisons. Why they have not been able to reach those heights is because of.....1. non identification of their intelligence....2. lack of guidance and grooming....3. parents not allowing them to choose the path of achievement oriented life...especially in the case of girls.
Ok, coming to the point....
1. students with low intelligence can be developed to reach better levels with food, life style, therapies and focused approaches/methods. They also can shine....study at the best of the institutions and courses befitting their intelligence levels and ability to work hard, without breaking in physical and mental health. Parents may accordingly be with them to live a limited achievement oriented life and traditional family life. Forcing them to be an achiever commensurate with high intelligence students by comparisons only will lead to failures.
2. students with average intelligence can be raised to still higher levels with the methods described above. They also can join institutions and courses befitting their intelligence and ability to work hard without compromising the health. They can certainly become national level achievers through their hard work and improving their intelligence.
3. students with high and abnormally high intelligence are of different breed with a different call in life. If you see the history and statistics, in general, such people have failed in family life if their parents insisted for a traditional concept of family life. These people are born for international level fame, dedicated for humanity and the earth. They should not be forced to live a life like their parents. They are born to make a difference and therefore they should be encouraged, allowed, supported and groomed by suitable global achievers to reach institutions, organisations and intellectual society befitting their intelligence levels, ability to work hard etc. Such high intelligence has effect on Emotional Quotient which needs to be groomed up to ensure that they live a peaceful, happy and healthy life too.
Of course, not just intelligence, personality traits, developmental issues etc also play a greater role in the above...i.e academic...professional...personal life...family life...social life...and success in all these domains!!...e.g a student might have too high of intelligence but might have adaptability issues and personality disorders which might not allow them to global institutions and organisations.
Parents need to understand the above and accordingly groom their children...not by comparisons and their wishes or dreams or aims or goals for their children....they can be generic, but not too specific!!
Peacefully yours....Rams...Psychologist!!
