agree...they always look at the safety of the child first...then only everything...but some times they can be selfish too...what they believe in may not be true or outdated/redundant or extinct...they may be rigid and not amenable to change and expect their children also to live like them...they may be scared for a change...so, no need to make sacrifices and compromises against your passion, interests, beliefs, rights and wrongs etc while respecting and loving their love and affection, efforts and hardships put in by them in growing you, giving education etc...take time...be patient...ask them questions...make them think...expose them to the changes around...make them understand the world around...the change in cultures...work atmospheres...living...life...assure them your unconditional support, love and care...make them live happily and in comforts that they dreamt...make them feel secured...make them understand what is real status, respect, fame etc...make them understand how important those 05 life basics (peace, happiness, health, contentment and self actualisation) are over anything that they say...you will win!!
