Dear all...there are many negative emotions...like fear, anxiety etc....some say that little fear is good....little anxiety is good....these negatives are very much required for life...etc...Is it correct??
e.g a student who lived in a separate room with attached bath room and toilet at home when he or she goes to hostel where she has to share the bathroom and toilet with many, gets anxiety struck about every morning...whether i will get my slot or not?...whether i will be able to shit and take bath before time?...Oh god, i can not go to class without clearing my bowels and taking bath!!...what a bloody hell it is!. This student gets anxiety struck and does not sleep in the night properly and gets up much early every day and rushes to bathroom to finish the routines. Now that girl feels this anxiety is good as it helps her to finish the routines and that happiness makes her feel great.
The truth is....
1. She is not getting happiness. She is only getting pleasure for a short time. By evening she will again get back the anxiety and will spend sleepless nights, and both these will affect her health.
2. Instead of anxiety she should only increase her awareness. This is a state of being just aware that she has to get up little early for which she has to go to sleep early. That is all. All the questions that arise in her mind (typed above) brings fear. The fear gives anxiety. Which is bad. Instead if she tells her self 'Oh, nothing! I have to just sleep little early and get up early!'...that is it. Nothing more. Here there is no feeling of what will happen if i am unable to do routines?...Oh God, i can't imagine that!! etc...
so, the crux is...
1. Anxiety and fear are bad. Don't believe in those who say they are good.
2. We have to only increase our awareness.
