Hai all...
we keep saying world has changed, families have changed, people have changed etc.
But I find many families living a life of '30 years back'...in their life style, thinking, attitudes, mental structures etc.
e.g my child hood friend...lives near by...the top caste of the country....father was a steno in govt office...he made his son also a steno...a graduate (they feel this is enough ...to even become an officer in govt jobs, so more than that is waste)...of course, they believe in writing departmental exams and getting one promotion, but should stay in the same city...transfers are 'sin'...they will compromise for anything to just staying in the same city...they feel 'going on transfer is waste of money, energy and disturbs family life'..
if we enter their house and talk to them we will get a feeling of going back by 30 years.
they want graduate women at home but to remain in home only...no working...
he goes to office, works only for 10 to 5...comes back home and reads news papers, watches tv...goes to sleep...
he says life means 'killing time'...and cribs that his sons are not studying...i.e type writing, short hand, steno, becoming a graduate and capable of getting a govt job...
I see many such families around here and in my relatives...
if we talk to them, we can not talk for more than 5 mts, as, we will feel suffocation and irritation...how can people live isolated from positive changes of outside?...if they open their mouth it will be about negatives of others, negatives about all that is happening around...'walking coffins'?????
if you ask them, 'life is being happy' and 'we are happy!'...
the so called people who 'change with time' also are basically same, no changes, the only change is 'they educate their children' for making more money...the definition of life and living has not changed...they use the changes only to make wealth...
