Fear!...a
familiar word for us…because we constantly live with fear either consciously or
unconsciously. A part of our brain is always under fear…
Our gods are
scary to look at…with all blood stained weapons, tiger, lion, tongue out, many
hands, and what not!!!...so we are scared of our gods!...during child hood I
used to get scared about the big god statues on the outskirts of villages shown
in movies…my daughter once requested me to remove the photo of a god from her
room as she is scared to look, to remain in that room or to sleep there…even
after removal of the photo she said the picture comes in the dreams and scare
her!
The faith or
feelings or all that we have towards our gods are out of fear!...
parents also
scare us ‘if you don’t do this or if you are not living like this, then god
will punish you!’…i don’t think there is any one in any village in whose dreams
those scary gods at the entrance of the village have not come…mostly anyone who
has reported having seen god in dreams, only describes having seen god with
anger and scary features!...
once god
came in a lady’s dream and has told all bad things for her and her
children…does any god think bad for her creations?...it was found that she had
typhoid some time back and since then gods have been appearing in dreams and
telling only bad things for every one…after she was treated with medicine she
wondered if she ever said like that…
So, god
appears in the minds of the feared and when god appeared in dreams we feared.
There are
also physiological changes of anxiety, elevated happiness, exclamations, unable
to think, too emotional, etc. So we go to a state of imbalance. In an unstable
state cognition does not happen. So, we go out of reality, we do many things
without our consciousness.
Our people
are also scared about people in powerful positions, administrators and all
people with authority at organizations (bosses), society and at home (elders)…those
top people also want to create a fear…a ‘nuisance value’… all these people say
‘nammalai paathha makkalukku manasuley oru bhayam irukkanumdaa!’...means
‘people should have a sense of fear when they think about us!’…the same goes
everywhere…in society, organizations, at home…parents say ‘children should be
scared about their parents!’…teachers also say ‘students should have fear of
their teachers!’…I don’t know who created this ‘spare the rod, spoil the
child!’
Fear starts
from child hood…we are scared about parents at home…a young mother who feeds
the infant fears it by saying ‘if you don’t eat I will give you to bhooth!’…we
are scared about teachers at school…professors at colleges…scared about husband
(!!!)…some are scared about wives too!...scared about dangerous people in
society…scared about people In power…scared about bosses…scared about
gods…scared about pollution, nature, scarcity of natural resources…woffff! We
have created a scary world…scary future…scary culture…the fear of
unknown!...news papers are full of all types of news that scares people in all
dimentions…why?...why?...why??????
We all know
that fear is a negative emotion…it does more bad than good…any good created
also gets nullified with the bad it has created in mind which is not visible to
us!...fear limits ones potential…creativity, the most important thing required
now and in future!...it limits one’s ability to be happy…to be healthy…to be
successful…a person with fear dies every second.
Then how it
should have been?...
All gods
should be loving to look at…as god is a symbol of love…any one should be happy
to dream about any god (instead of actors!)…all parents should be a good symbol
of love…children can be corrected with positive effects through love…ahimsa…and
gandhian ways…parents should be good friends…it is a wrong notion that children
can be corrected only through fears…when children fear about parents, when
parents are not their good friends, they tend to ask their friends, who are equally
clueless, about love, sex, dressing, partying and such other issues about which
parents are worried but they are unable to do anything. Any child which is
grown under fear and control, wants to breath freedom and so runs away from
parents as early as possible to hostels or taking a job far away or get married
and fly away.
When
teachers are good friends, brother, sister etc with loving character, students
get closeness to them, clarify their doubts, discuss the problems they have in
understanding and they live in the minds of students for ever. The same thing
happens when the administrators, bosses, people in power show love to their
subordinates / citizens. Feeling of love and friendliness creates more positive
effects than that produced by the fear effect.
So, let us
not fear about all that said above and not fear others.
Let us only
love everything and everyone…let the love spread…positive thinking (cognition) spread…positive
emotions spread (affection)…positive behaviours spread (conation)…
Once this
happens every one on this earth only will spread happiness, good health and
success…radiate innocent intelligent love!
