WHAT WE FEEL RIGHT IS WRONG!



dear friends.....

before we start.....my friend has sent two funny attachments. ...amazing! ...you also see and burst your stress....

most of us have knowledge, perceptions, feelings and opinions about many life issues.....most of it is wrong....you might have either laughed louder or got angry to throw stones at me while reading these words.....

today during my routine morning walk i saw a guy jogging....i asked him 'why are you jogging?'... gave a funny look...must have thought 'what an idiot he is? why would people jogg?...looks like a senior and old guy...surprising that he is not knowing this simple thing!.....he answered 'i want to reduce my weight'....

analyse the question and the answer....his aim is to reduce the weight....but his intervention is wrong....jogging will not reduce the weight....as during this process the brain calculates the rate of energy burnt.....if it is more than it's set level it uses the energy that is still in the body....(yet to be converted into fat).....as the body needs immediate release of energy.....it does not have time to convert the stored energy in the fat for releasing to cater for the urgent requirement. ....so probably his lunch or dinner or breakfast is being used for this jogg.....not the fat that he wants to burn....the result is on completion of the jogging he will feel damn hungry and hogg...(or might abuse his body by depriving the food...land up with unconcious unhealthy behaviours.. ..causing damage of mental health and spoiling interpersonal relationships. .....)... so, addition of calories.... he will again jog in the evening or morning and burn this new energy input....will never burn the fat....so will never reduce in weight....will perceive many things like....he can never reduce weight....jogging is not good...etc etc...

or he might reduce weight because   of additional interventions that he is applying like diet control or change....and not because of jogging....it is an anti weight reduction behaviour!

the right intervention for weight reduction through motor action is by 'brisk walk'....as brain feels rate of burn is less.....gets time to burn the fat...orders the body metabolism to do so...so your fat gets converted to energy....also body gets high oxygen intake over a long time and gets fresh......

hope now you will understand the guy is wrong in his thinking. So, the knowledge that we have on most of the things is actually wrong....i find everyday so many guys jogging..... their reasons may be different... ..but by and large it is for weight reduction... .is it possible for me to go and tell everyone!

the reason is we acquire the knowledge from magazines, hear say information, experience of people etc....behaviours formed through such information are not permanent as human brain will accept a new learning and convert it into a permanent change in behaviour only if it gets the answers for why, how, whynot, when etc etc....i,e the complete insight into the issue.....whereas magazines do not have space for detailed information. ...research articles also give only on one issue indepth..... .actually we should read text books which have consolidation of years of research by scientists on multiple dimentions of the issue....... ..

interestingly in the above case one part of the brain is caculating the rate of burn and decides to use his energy out of the previous meal for the jogging..... another part of the same brain has told him 'to jogg to reduce the weight'..... converstion of a wrong 'learning' stored into a wrong overt behaviour.!

(definition of LEARNING is - 'a process which results in a relatively permanent change in behaviour - overt or covert')

To your surprise, MOST OF THE INTERVENTIONS WHICH PEOPLE FOLLOW FOR WEIGHT REDUCTION THROUGHOUT THE WORLD ARE WRONG!.....what?. ..... feel like laughing loud is it?.....saying what sort of a stupid guy he is and says all are fools......health psychologist scientists have studied all the methods which people follow....what happens in their mind and body etc during this process of weight reduction... .before and after too......and come up with many theories and models....amazing!
