"The children of today are too hard pressed with respect to studies. We are killing them. They are getting burnt out"

Dear all...THIS IS FOR ALL PARENTS AND ADULTS...MAY BE STUDENTS TOO...
I keep hearing these words from the mouth of parents everywhere...
"The children of today are too hard pressed with respect to studies. We are killing them. They are getting burnt out"
"The present world and living is 'A life of stress!!'...Too much of load!!...Every body is stressed and burnt out in their profession and job!!"
When we force ourselves or our children to learn or do things in which they are not skilled and interested...When we are forcing them to do some activity beyong their intelligence levels...skill levels...creativity levels...when we expect children to expand suddenly overnight or within a short time to IIT or IIM or IAS or AIMS or such high levels...when we are motivated and blindfolded by 'This is what will bring status or image or identity or money or wealth or a good life in society..So do this!!...............If we do all these then obviously anyone, whether children or we, will be hard pressed, stressed to the core, get killed, get burnt out!!
If we or children...1. understand our present intelligence or creativity or skill or competency levels in various skills through proper measurements (plenty of APA approved tools are available in the net)...
2. If we decide to grow, expand and mature in knowledge and skills gradually in adaptable and sustainable baby-steps or leaps as comfortable to us...
3. in the areas of our interest that matches with our intelligence (some are good in mathematical intelligence and some are good in social intelligence and others in other areas!), skills sets, competency levels...
4. with a definition of life that matches with the way Nature has produced us to expand, grow, mature, get enlightened, to get self actualised, to be self transcending...
5. with a feeling that 'I am here on this earth to enjoy my learning of new things, my expansion, my growth, experiencing my own potentials every second, to enjoy knowing my strengths and weaknesses where i need to improve, to enjoy my journey of life towards enlightenment and self actualisation through possible improvements in my knowledge, skills, potential, competency levels in all dimensions possible....
6. with a feeling that 'i want to share, motivate, give-out all my learnt things to others as i walk through my life and enjoy the life of encouraging, enlightening others in the process of growing and achieving the goals...THEN WHERE IS THE QUESTION OF GETTING STRESSED?...WHERE IS THE QUESTION OF GETTING BURNT-OUT?...WHERE IS THE QUESTION OF KILLING OURSELVES OR OTHERS?...WHERE IS THE QUESTION OF FEELING 'I HAVE WASTED MY LIFE!!'
A person no less than Albert Einstein also says "“Genius is 1% talent and 99% percent hard work...”...So, therefore, if some one says INTELLIGENCE IS A MUST TO BE AN ACHIEVER, then they are differing with none less than Einstein!!
Einstein's statement has been validated statistically and experimentally too!!...There are soo many living examples who are achievers through hard work. Intelligence can be improved within the possible limits by every individual!!...Every one may not be able to become an Einstein or Curie or Edison, but at least they can become whatever possible by them, within their limits of expansion and growth, by enjoying the process, when they grow within the 'rate of growth' possible by them!!..Within their comfort zones of expansion and growth!!
A child interested in dancing with skill sets showing good competency levels in dancing...if we encourage and support this child by showing the path of development and growth in dancing and the knowledge, skills, life-style, habits and culture required to excel, enjoy and become the best dancer too, then through enjoyable-hard-work (i.e extended hours of dancing), through enjoying every second of dancing the child will grow slowly and steadily and learn all forms of dancing in the world and become Master of Dance!!...Where are the problems blabbered by the parents here??...I don't understand!!
Therefore, what parents say is wrong!!...These are excuses!!...What they are forcing themselves or others or their children are wrong, motivated by wrong beliefs, by wrong methods. So, they say so!!
Peacefully yours...Rams...Psychologist!!
